Sandra Bullock had a direct hand in shaping the soundtrack for Practical Magic 2, extending her involvement beyond returning as Sally Owens. In an interview with People, producer Denise Di Novi said Bullock worked closely with the film’s music team and took an active role in choosing songs for the sequel.
Di Novi told People that the music carries extra weight because the original 1998 film developed a lasting connection with fans through its soundtrack. That release featured artists including Stevie Nicks, Sheryl Crow, Faith Hill, Marvin Gaye and Elvis Presley, giving the sequel a familiar musical legacy to build on.
Bullock is also serving as an executive producer on the new soundtrack album. She has hinted that music connected to Stevie Nicks and Olivia Rodrigo will be part of the film, although the complete track list has not been announced.
Practical Magic 2 reunites Bullock with Nicole Kidman as sisters Sally and Gillian Owens. The sequel is scheduled to arrive in theaters on September 10, 2026.
