John Mayer explained on stage Sunday (March 13th) that he feels bad because “Neon” has become “like a TikTok trick shot video challenge song.”
He attempted to put out a tutorial for the song on social media but admitted during his stop at the Los Angeles Forum that it’s “a little bit of a circus trick.”
Mayer can be heard saying in a YouTube clip shared by Gummy Visuals, “I feel bad because I have thumbs like a mile long. You know, like, the kid in school who could turn his eyelids inside out? That’s sort of what this is. It’s this one freako thing that I can do.”
